Echinopsis 'Brigitte's Beauty'
Flower fragrant,
to 4 inches (10.5 cm) across. Petals with a prominent fold along apical
portion of midrib, purplish-pink with broad, white margin, narrow yellowish
basal stripe, and dark purplish-pink midrib. Throat-circle white. Filaments
dark purplish-pink. Stigma light green. Flowers fragrant. Stem semicolumnar,
to 4 ¼ inches (11 cm) in diameter; central spines to 1 inch (25
mm) long. Named for Brigitte Williams, this hybrid is shy to flower but
beautifully colored. Unfortunately, it has a tendency toward unsightly
