This species has angular pseudobulbs with a thin fibrous tunic. The leaves are ovate to ovate-lanceolate with an acute apex and are faintly mottled dark green to grayish or reddish-tinged with darker purplish mottling. HBG 91560, from controlled pollination of M. Hoffmann s.n., collected 22 Jan 2000, at Ankarafantsika, Madagascar. $30.
