This newly named selection is similar to E. ‘Krakatoa’ (ISI 2000—16) with a star-like form and a predominant color that hybridizer Bob Schick describes as dusky magenta. ‘Dangerous Journey’ differs primarily in the more symmetrical arrangement of its stamens. The flowers can be truly spectacular, especially when they reach their full potential size: 13 cm across. Rooted cuts of HBG 89128, R. Schick 1727—1. $7.50.
