ISI 2003-29. Haworthia sordida Haw. var. sordida.

Hard, rough-surfaced leaves of almost charcoal gray characterize this slow-growing species. It occurs in arid areas so requires bright light to retain its color and careful watering to retain its thick white roots. HBG 89146, from controlled pollination of plants collected by E. Heunis (312), about 60 km. ESE of Steytlerville, E Cape, S. Africa. $12.50.
