ISI 2003-4. Echinopsis 'Raoul Wallenberg'.
Flower to 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) across, but usually less. Outer petals strikingly bicolored, glossy reddish-purple and orange. Stem semi-columnar, to nearly 8 3/4 inches (8 cm) in diameter; spines to 5/8 inch (16 cm) long. This hybrid is named in honor of the Swedish businessman and diplomat who established safe-havens from the Nazis during WWII. By these means he helped save the lives of some 100,000 Hungarian Jews.
