ISI 2002-30 Ledebouria revoluta (L. f.) Jesop

L. violacea is popular in succulent collections, as it produces above-ground bulbs and attractively spotted perennial foliage. It grows quite compatibly alongside stem and leaf succulents as does L. revoluta offered here. In the latter, the bulbs are largely concealed by the slightly fleshy leaves, which are beautifully spotted with darker green or purple. The species inhabits a wide range of habitats and elevations in southern and eastern S. Africa but is most frequent in open areas in full sun. We offer seedlings from controlled pollination of HBG 87320, a plant collected by M.Vassar somewhere in the E. Cape, but, unfortunately, the collection number and associated data have been lost. $7.50.
