Kalanchoe laxiflora Baker ISI 2008-21 distributed as Kalanchoe laxiflora Baker lacks the auriculate leaves of that species. Sven Bernhard of Darmstadt, Germany has identified the plant as a form of K. fedtschenkoi Raym.-Hamet & H. Perrier.
